This gun was a disappointment. When I got it out of the box it was filthy. Gunshot residue all over the last inch of the barrel and around the forcing cone and cylinder. Plus the polishing on the gun was poor with many scratch marks on the frame. It looked like a used gun the was used hard and put up without and cleaning, and showing a alarming lack of pride in the workmanship of producing a S&W product. I have not had the time to get to the range with it, but if this is a example of the work being done at S&W, I'm afraid of the performance of this revolver. Wish me luck.
Gun is beautiful and dry fired just fine. Loaded it with +P rounds and the hammer won’t cock and fire one of the cylinders, SA or DA. Weird. It will shoot 6 of the 7, but can’t get the hammer to cock all the way on one. Trying to get it back to warranty repair. Looks great though!
